Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a full-time Grant Writer who can assist Client Managers and engineers in grant research and grant writing. The selected candidate will work with city and county clients and other government agencies as well as a team of engineers and planners across multiple offices and geographic regions to secure funding for clients' projects. This position is client-facing and will require public meeting attendance. Travel to client and project sites may be required.
Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities and summarize details for clients.
- Conduct outreach to Client Managers and clients on opportunities.
- Run meetings with internal and external clients and program contacts.
- Prepare funding applications (write narratives, complete forms and coordinate application components with client and internal team).
- Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process for assigned grant writing projects.
- Regular contact with clients, consultants, governmental agencies, involved communities and contractors in connection with the projects.
Qualifications
- 0-5 years of experience in similar position or field.
- Grant writing experience in the civil engineering field is preferred. Experience with the following funding programs is preferred: USDOT, FRA, RAISE, INFRA.
- Bachelor's degree or background preferred in Planning, Engineering, English, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration or similar.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- Excellent, proactive communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to take ownership of, and responsibility for, work product and manage own time and workload.
Compensation: $49,900-$64,900 DOQ.
