CHA Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Traffic Section Manager to join our Traffic & ITS group in one of the following offices: Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Norwell, MA; Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; or Providence, RI.
CHA's Traffic and ITS team provides planning, analysis, modeling, and design development for public and private sector clients. Our team of traffic engineers, transportation planners, and technical staff provide a comprehensive breadth of knowledge and experience in all facets of modal mobility, accessibility, safety, technology, and deployment. From roadside sign inventories and safety audits to the latest intelligent transportation system (ITS) innovations and applications, our professionals are adept at managing the entire design development and implementation process.
At CHA, our Section Managers lead design development and recommend solutions to teammates at the highest quality and standards. In this key leadership role, the Section Manager work closely with the Traffic & ITS Team Leader for the hiring, promotion, recognition, and overall growth and performance of the technical staff within the team. Our Section Managers provide critical mentorship to their team members, while developing goals and providing career guidance.
Our Section Managers play an important role in planning staff allocation and project financial performance, developing scope of work and fee estimates for projects as well as assigning Technical Task Managers. The Section Manager matches staffing levels with workload by assessing backlog and continually communicating with Project Managers. They also balance maximizing technical staff utilization goals with successfully meeting project goals relative to delivering scope, schedule and budget.
