Join Our Mission
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and documenting clinical services, training new clinicians, and supervising the clinical staff. The Program Coordinator may also maintain a caseload of up to 5 youth at a time. This roles does require the Program Coordinator to be on site at Canaan, NY for 4 days(10 hours) or 5 days(8 hours).

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clinical supervision and managing the clinical staff, including but not limited to reviewing clinical assessments, and reports along with maintaining a caseload size up to 5 cases.
  • Accountable for attending necessary agency meetings, facilitating meeting with clinical staff and meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for maintaining paperwork in accordance with regulations and auditing and billing requirements in all youth charts.
  • Coordinating and/or conducting staff training and development, performance evaluations, directing and assigning work, approve time cards and time off requests, new hire orientation/onboarding and work directly with HR on recommendations regarding recruitment/hiring, employee relations issues, promotion and demotions.
  • Provides on-call administrative oversight when necessary.
  • Systematically monitors clinician results amongst expectations and will be responsible for implementing a corrective action plan, when necessary, including developing systems for tracking reports and other clinical requirements.
  • Oversees, monitors and ensures clinical staff compliance with treatment, required paperwork and system deadlines. Reviews and signs off on all required paperwork, manually and electronically.
  • Responsible to assigning responsibility to a specific individual charged with monitoring progress and outcomes
  • Professionally represents the Agency in work groups or projects as assigned. Serves on various committees and acts as liaison in community networks with external business partners, including schools and mental health programs.
  • Supervising around the implementation of evidence-based treatment modalities and assessment tools to complete comprehensive assessment and treatment plans for youth in care.
  • Implements clinical treatment plans by facilitating trauma-informed individual counseling, and therapeutic groups with all youth and/or families as required by agency policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Interfaces with internal and external programs/stakeholders including but not limited to Federal representatives/liaisons for purpose of treatment/discharge planning.
  • Responds to crisis situations including de-escalating and engaging youth; processing said incidents and/or developing safety plans as required.
  • Partners with team members to coordinate clinical services to youth and families that support permanent and reunification planning while preparing youth for the future.
  • Provides clinical consultation and evaluate progress and adjust the clinical services, as necessary.
  • Develop, completes, maintains and tracks all mandatory appropriate documentation in accordance in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all state and agency required documentation; ensures all clinicians meet necessary requirements and clearly document evidence-based practices throughout treatment.

Job Requirements

  • Must have supervisory experience with Clinicians and be an LCSW or LCSW-R or LCSW R or LCSW/R or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Varicella Vaccine required OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
  • MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella vaccine required OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
  • Tdap (Tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) vaccine required.
  • Influenza vaccine required, one dose annually during flu season.
  • Physical (Medical Exam) required.
  • Must be able to work 9AM-5PM during new hire orientation to complete TCI(Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), CPR and Sanctuary training. Must maintain TCI and CPR certification.
  • Required to be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license per Agency guidelines. Travel required.
  • Required to have client facing interaction.
  • Must be available to be on-call as needed.
  • Ability to work with economically and culturally diverse population.
