Final Test Technician - Second Shift (Saugerties, NY)

The Final Test Technician is responsible for performing electrical and/or mechanical inspection of incoming or outgoing materials and determining conformance to applicable specifications as indicated by the designated procedures and product specifications.

  • Second Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot semi-conductor industry related testing activity discrepancies.
  • Manage all manufacturing test data associated with customer acceptance testing (ATL) when applicable
  • Interface with production/engineering personnel concerning inspection results.
  • Work with manufacturing to develop SOP's
  • May perform audits in manufacturing areas and facilities according to established SOP's
  • Identify and provide improvements of test methods for existing products and collaborate with Engineering to develop methodologies for new products/components
  • Maintain statistical quality control charts
  • Provide support on quality projects
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings of complex mechanical or electrical components.
  • Ability to read testing instruments and record inspection results.
  • Ability to use mechanical or electrical inspection tools, instruments, and devices.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals. Prioritize work in accordance with lead/supervisor direction.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with Encompix system preferred but not required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  • Practices department and company-wide continuous improvement
  • Willingness to train in multiple disciplines to drive company-wide cross-functionality

Education, Certifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some technical or college education preferred
  • 2-3+ years quality or related work experience preferred
  • Familiarity with GMP and ISO methods preferred
