Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP) & Deputy of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Sales and Business Services (SBS) serves as the second in command to the Acting General Manager (GM) of Sales and Business Services. As such, the SVP & Deputy, SBS has the authority to act in place of and on behalf of the Acting GM of SBS. This position is responsible for, in conjunction with the Acting GM of SBS, the development of business strategies and policies, as well as the development and implementation of enhanced procedures and management methods to effectively and efficiently achieve SBS and CIS goals to further promote the mission of CIS. The SVP & Deputy, SBS provides executive leadership and oversight to all organizational operations of SBS including Sales, Marketing and Communications, Business Development (including Alliance Management), and Customer Experience. In addition, this position will partner with all other CIS business units and departments ensuring effective collaboration and communication. The SVP & Deputy, SBS will develop cross functional efficiencies, including strategies, processes, and procedures that adapt to a rapidly shifting business environment.

Salary Range: $150,700 - $226,100

What You'll Do
  • Work closely with the Acting GM of SBS in the development and management of business strategies, performance goals, budgeting, and long-term organizational and operational plans in accordance with the CIS Mission
  • Oversee the orchestration, execution, and reporting of all revenue generating initiatives in SBS
  • Oversee and manage company-wide marketing and communication strategies and implementation of external and internal communications and brand identity
  • Develop creative packaging, pricing, and go-to-market plans for new and existing products and services
  • Assess market potential and identify new business and mission opportunities
  • Coordinate with the Business Development, Marketing and Communications and Sales teams to ensure integration of marketing, communication, business development, and sales related activities across CIS
  • Develop external partnership objectives in coordination with CIS leadership
  • Build and track key performance indicators related to partnership initiatives
  • Develop and communicate key metrics, business trends and opportunities to the Executive Leadership team
  • Serve as a catalyst and contributor with others on the executive team to develop and implement innovative business strategies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, metrics, progress, costs, risks, and issues for key SBS initiatives
  • Devise strategies to ensure growth of CIS-wide programs, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize efficiency and minimize costs
  • Leverage customer and market insights to identify business opportunities and strategies
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for SBS
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on business goals and operations
  • Lead with integrity, establishing and maintaining a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field*
  • 10+ years' experience in mission-oriented leadership roles, with executive level leadership experience
  • 7+ years' experience leading sales and marketing operations
  • Strong experience (7+years) with cybersecurity, engineering, information technology, or other technical product/services
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create agility, speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Experience developing and managing departmental budgets and strong financial acumen
  • Demonstrated experience operating as part of an executive leadership team that emphasizes collaborative decision making and a high degree of coordination between functions
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present information to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manor
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the not-for-profit environment
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (e.g., CRM)

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate's degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
