Job Description

1. Performs daily lab sample login, reconciliation and/or transfer of waste from generation areas to vault/cages.

2.Seals drums for destruction and manages the lab waste system

3. Performs data entry in an Application (Such as BPCS or ELN) on waste transactions to remove testing or destruction material from inventory of laboratory systems and processes.

4. Ensures a complete and accurate inventory on tested samples and/or waste and other controlled substances as required by DEA regulations

5.Closely monitors and/or verifies weights on tamper evident bags and reconciles any discrepancies.

6.Works with other site departments if needed, such as the DEA Compliance group

7.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree in science related with equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies preferred.

Experience:

Classroom or previous work experience in a science related field

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated; able to work with various departments internally and contacts outside of the organization.
  • BPCS experience.
  • Must take initiative and act without direction when appropriate.
  • Must have Microsoft software experience (ie Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) and computer skills.
  • 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment or other industry regulated by a federal agency.
  • Previous experience with DEA recordkeeping a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Organizational skills.

Compensation range: $40,000.00 - $46,000.00

1st shift + eligible for sign-on bonus
