Elevator Operations Associate - $23.50 per hour $5,000 First Year Sign-On Bonus - Non-Union

Must be open to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift.

Your role:

The Elevator Utility is involved in all activities of the facility. The primary responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining sanitation throughout the property and working with the team to unload wheat from incoming ships and railcars.

  • Be able to handle extreme working conditions and temperatures including but not limited to dust, heat, and cold weather, outside work during winter and summer months.

Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, and compliance in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.

Your responsibilities:

  • Workplace Safety compliance will be a requirement of the job.

  • Maintain sanitation in assigned areas of the plant by cleaning and by fixing leaks. Areas may include floors, equipment, roofs, over-head areas, and outside grounds.

  • Specialized cleaning tasks as assigned by management.

  • Crosstrain and be available for coverage of operators.

  • Be willing to train and cross train on new tasks (such as bulk loadout of wheat on to trucks)

  • Comply with GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Defense,Sanitationand Regulatory mandates.

  • Attend all safety meetings

  • Any other duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Has demonstrated the ability to work within a diverse group, communicate effectively, motivate others, foster teamwork, and exhibit self-control and awareness.

  • Experience with OSHA, food safety rules, and regulations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills - written and verbal. Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks.

Good to have:

  • Heavy Equipment experience (skid steer, front loader etc.)

  • Experience in a production setting.

  • Experience working with railcars.

  • Mechanical experience.

  • Farming experience.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Willing and able to work in a plant environment that at times, may be dusty, include temperature extremes, involve climbing, heavy lifting, and other forms of physical exertion.

  • Willing and able to work with wheat products, dust, i.e., no wheat /gluten sensitivity, intolerance and/or allergies.

  • Willing to work any shift.

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate's unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $16.90 - $22.51, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
