POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist (working in the Rockford, IL office) to join our highly skilled, professionally trained team who is dedicated to helping others - and our customers - succeed in every way. Responsibilities
    Process weekly union and non-union payrolls
    • Review timesheets
    • Follow up on timesheet approvals
    • Import time from web-based software systems
    • Reconcile hours and wages from timekeeping systems to payroll system
    • Compare and review employee wages, deductions and employer liabilities for accuracy
    • Process checks and ACH payments and upload to online banking platform
  • Review and process employee new hire and termination paperwork
  • Train field and office employees on how to use timekeeping applications
  • Prepare, submit and reconcile monthly union fringe benefit reporting
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax information through ADP website
  • Process garnishment and child support orders
  • Maintain payroll employee records
  • Assist with required payroll reporting
  • Assist with payroll related audits
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ years payroll processing experience in multi-company, multi-state environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel and Word
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong work ethic

  • Must be willing to work in office at our Rockford, IL location
