Join the Office of Professional Regulation! Seeking a capable professional to join a highly skilled workforce that manages over 50 professions. This position is dedicated to supervising OPR's licensing team of nine (9) licensing staff with individual portfolios that collectively manage approximately 52 professions and 80,000 licensees. The ideal candidate will be familiar with administrative law context that relies on statutes, rules, and established processes. Must promote a collaborative and professional workplace that provides exceptional customer service. The supervisor will be comfortable supporting staff through education and development activities that include regular coaching and continual improvement goals. Manages staff schedules, coverage, and backup with sensitivity to licensing and renewal demands. Supports professional advisor, board, and stakeholder groups, as well as supervisors, peers and policy staff. Candidate must be adept at leading teams and utilizing sophisticated online systems and shared workspaces. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days on site during hours of operation and ability to be on site additional days when needed.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in normal office setting. Some overtime or evening work may be required. An incumbent can expect to receive inquiries or complaints from clients dissatisfied with service received from a practitioner within a licensed profession.

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years or more experience in interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; data collection and analysis; managing support services; or implementing program policies and procedures INCLUDING oversight of a project, program, operation, business, or organization AND one (1) year or more of leadership or supervisory experience.
