Position Description


This position can be filled at either Capital One'sManhattan, NY,McLean, VA, or Plano, TX facility.

Designs and implements learning interventions for Small Business and Commercial Banking clients. Works with clients to determine skills and knowledge needs and most appropriate learning solution. Influences and drives learning recommendations to implementation. Manages course quality and provides on-going maintenance. Creates strategy for clients and writes training materials. Facilitates learning programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Client consulting on learning and development projects: SME consultation; liaison with LOB Leaders regarding learning requirements; conducts needs analysis; prioritization of learning tasks; development of Learning Agendas.
  • Project/Program Management
  • Course design and development
  • Facilitates training programs
  • Implements training evaluation strategies
  • Travels as needed (up to 25%) to other company locations for training purposes

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree
    • 3 Years experience in Training Delivery and Design

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Psychology or Instructional Design
    • 5 Years experience in Training Delivery and Design
    • 5 Years experience in Project/Program Management
    • 5 Years experience in Adult Learning Theory
    • 5 Years experience in Banking/Financial Services
    • 3 Years experience in Small Business and/or Commercial Banking
    • 2 Years experience in Consulting - Client Facing
    • 2 Years experience in People Management
    • Member of American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) or related organization, SPHR or PHR
    • Demonstrate highly developed facilitation skills to lead discussion and foster a learning environment
